Department of Management Services Spotlights Achievements in 2024-2025 Focus on Florida’s Future Budget

TALLAHASSEE, FL - This week, the Department of Management Services highlighted accomplishments from the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Focus on Florida's Future budget. Signed by Governor Ron DeSantis, the General Appropriations Act highlights significant investments in the state workforce, public safety, and cybersecurity resilience.

"Governor DeSantis leads from the front and sets clear expectations," said DMS Secretary Pedro Allende. "Combating federal inflation, improving public safety, and protecting Floridians' data solidifies Florida as the top state to live, work, and raise a family."

Budget Highlights

• Three percent pay increase for all employees in the State Personnel System to attract and retain high performers.
• $35 million for Enterprise Cybersecurity Resiliency and to bolster the state Cybersecurity Operations Center, the central point to receive information, share intelligence, and coordinate rapid incident response to protect the enterprise and Floridians' data.
• $40 million to continue and expand the Local Government Cybersecurity Grant Program and equip local partners with critical cybersecurity capabilities.
• $15 million for Statewide Law Enforcement Radio System tower upgrades and ongoing support.
• $12 million in aid to local governments to upgrade 911 public safety answering points to ensure seamless communications and reduce response times when Floridians call for help.
