Nominations Now Open for Groundbreaking Graduate Student Award

UMass Amherst has introduced the Groundbreaking Graduate Student award, a new award program to recognize excellence in graduate student research, scholarship and creative activity.

Current UMass Amherst master's or doctoral students in any field are eligible for this award. Applicants must submit documentation of their accomplishments, such as securing external grants, honors or awards, publishing impactful research, contributing scholarly products to their field or taking a leadership role in community outreach efforts related to their research. Their application must be supported by the nominee's advisor or a faculty member familiar with their work.

Nominations for the award are now open and will be accepted through Oct. 29.
