UPDATE: Man Arrested for Double Shooting in Hollywood District Neighborhood, Charged with Murder

A Portland man is facing murder and other charges after his arrest related to this morning's double shooting in the Hollywood Neighborhood.

Following the shooting, PPB Detectives developed information that the victims were specifically targeted by the suspect, 39-year-old Daniel A. Snegirev. This afternoon, he was located in a hotel in Tigard, Oregon and arrested by the Washington County Sheriff's Office Tactical Negotiations Team (TNT). Snegirev was interviewed by PPB Detectives and booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center (MCDC) on charges of Murder in the Second Degree with a Firearm, Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, Assault in the First Degree, and two counts of Unlawful Use of a Weapon with a Firearm.

Information about the homicide victim will be released after his identity is confirmed by the medical examiner and family has made notifications.

PPB is grateful for the assistance of the area law enforcement agencies who assisted with the investigation.

One Killed, Another Injured in Shooting in the Hollywood Neighborhood

One man was killed and another injured in a shooting in a Hollywood Neighborhood parking garage, and Portland Police Homicide Detectives are investigating. On Friday, November 21, 2025 at 6:46 a.m., Portland Police Officers assigned to North Precinct responded to a report of a shooting in a parking garage in the 4200 block of Northeast Halsey Street. When officers arrived they located two victims. Portland Fire & Rescue and AMR paramedics also responded to treat the victims. One man was deceased at the scene. The other was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect or suspects left the scene before police arrived and no immediate arrests were made.

Portland Police Homicide Unit Detectives are responding to the scene to investigate this case. During the investigation, Northeast Halsey Street is closed between Northeast 42nd Avenue and Northeast 43rd Avenue.
