Power Outages Impact Cary Facilities and Evening Programs

CARY, NC - Power outages affecting Cary are impacting operations at several Town of Cary facilities today, Sept. 3, resulting in closures or modified operations.

The following schedule changes are in effect:

• Downtown Cary Park: The 7 p.m. Zumba class is canceled, and Guest Services is closed.
• Cary Senior Center is closed.
• Herbert C. Young Community Center is closed. Evening programs are canceled.
• Bond Park Community Center is closed. Evening programs are canceled.
• Bond Park Boathouse is closed.
• Page-Walker Arts & History Center is closed. Evening programs are canceled.
• The Cary Theater: A decision on the 7 p.m. movie will be made at 5:30 p.m. Ticket holders have been contacted.
• Cary Arts Center: Evening classes, open studios, and rentals are canceled. The building will close at 5 p.m.

Drivers should use caution while traveling through Cary, as power outages may affect traffic signals. Treat non-functioning traffic signals as four-way stops, and report traffic signals that are out to Cary 311 by dialing 311 within Cary or (919) 469-4000 outside Town limits.
