The motorcyclist who was involved in a single-vehicle crash off exit 10 from I-84 eastbound has been identified.

The motorcyclist who died following a crash in on the off ramp to Northeast 122nd Avenue on July 31, 2026, has been identified as Sean Mathews, 58, of Portland. Family has been notified of his death.
No further information will be released at this time.

On Friday, July 31, 2026, at 9:22 p.m., officers from the East Precinct responded to reports of a motorcycle crash on the off ramp (exit 10) to Northeast 122nd Avenue from eastbound I-84. Officers arrived and found the single rider down and unresponsive. Paramedics arrived at the scene and pronounced the rider deceased.
The Portland Police Bureau Major Crash Team is responding to investigate. During the investigation, the offramp to Northeast 122nd Avenue (exit 10) from I-84 eastbound as well as the onramp to eastbound I-84 from Northeast 122nd Avenue will be closed.
