Greenberg Traurig Attorneys Present at Harvard Business School Entrepreneurship Summit

BOSTON - May 7, 2026 -Greenberg Traurig, LLP Shareholders Prashant Girinath, Ph.D., Abdullah Malik, and Win Rutherfurd presented at the Harvard Business School (HBS) Entrepreneurship Summit March 29.

The full-day event brought together more than 30 founders from leading companies across artificial intelligence, robotics, logistics, fintech, health, sustainability, and more. Attendees gained insights from industry experts, engaged in thought-provoking discussions, and connected with venture capitalists, fellow entrepreneurs, and business leaders.

Rutherfurd moderated and Girinath and Malik presented on the panel "Launching Your Business: Pitfalls to Avoid as a First Time Founder." They were joined by Anthony DiNatale, vice president of Agent Capital. The session provided practical guidance for early-stage entrepreneurs and covered key considerations in company formation, including entity structure and jurisdiction, strategies for positioning a business to attract investment and successfully navigate the fundraising process, and best practices for protecting intellectual property and mitigating legal risk.

Girinath is a shareholder in the Intellectual Property & Technology Practice. He has designed and implemented IP strategy for companies through all strata, from startups to venture-backed and public companies. Girinath helps clients with their legal needs and IP strategy from inception through public offerings and exits. He works with clients on both the sell side and the buy side of mergers and acquisitions.

Malik is a shareholder in the Corporate Practice. He focuses his practice on representing lenders, venture capital funds, private equity firms, institutional investors, and companies in various stages of growth in complex corporate transactions. He regularly advises lenders and companies in documenting life sciences and technology financing transactions, including venture debt financings and bridge loans. He also represents venture capital funds, private equity firms, other institutional investors, and companies in corporate and transactional matters, including venture capital financings, M&A, and corporate governance matters.

Rutherfurd, a shareholder in the Corporate Practice, advises public and pre-IPO companies on capital markets and corporate governance matters and compliance with securities laws. He represents issuers in a range of financing transactions, including equity and debt offerings, liability management, and private placements, including in the area of real estate investment trusts (REITs). Rutherfurd advises clients on a wide variety of securities laws and governance matters.
