Description

The third meeting of Thematic Panel 6 on Management of Foreign Terrorist Fighters, Volunteers and Their Families brought together experts from across the European Union, neighbouring countries, and partner institutions. The session aimed to translate accumulated knowledge into concrete, scalable, and rights-based recommendations for improving the management of returnees and their families. Discussions were structured around four thematic areas: Cooperation Structures and Protocols; Legal and Judicial Measures; Reintegration, Rehabilitation and Community Engagement; and Training, Capacity Building and Strategic Communication, with an additional focus on Research, Evaluation and Emerging Gaps.
