Dear News Editor:
The N.C. Post-Release Supervision and Parole Commission is notifying you that it has denied the above- referenced case for parole. This notice is being sent to you in order for the Commission to comply with North Carolina G.S. 15A-1371(3).
The state's current sentencing law, Structured Sentencing, eliminated parole for crimes committed on or after October 1, 1994. However, the Commission has the responsibility of paroling offenders who were sentenced under previous sentencing guidelines.
If you have questions concerning the parole process, please contact the Parole Commission at (919) 716-3010.
