Walberg, Colleagues Introduce Bipartisan, Bicameral Resolution to Raise Awareness for Motorcycle Safety

On Wednesday, the Congressional Motorcycle Caucus leaders, Congressmen Tim Walberg (R-MI), Donald Norcross (D-NJ), Troy Balderson (R-OH), and Derrick Van Orden (R-WI), introduced a bipartisan resolution to commemorate May as Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month. Senators John Curtis (R-UT), Joni Ernst (R-IA), Angus King (I-ME) and Gary Peters (D-MI) introduced a companion resolution in the Senate.

"As a fellow rider and a co-chair of the Congressional Motorcycle Caucus, I recognize how essential motorcycle awareness and safety are to being able to enjoy the freedom of driving on two wheels," said Rep. Walberg. "Motorcyclists come from every walk of life, and whether we ride for work, for travel, or for the sheer love of the open road, we all depend on drivers staying alert and sharing the road responsibly. We must ensure every motorcyclist can enjoy the freedom of the road safely and with confidence so that we can continue to honor this valued American tradition."
