California special elections reporting: 1st Congressional District (2026)
California has scheduled special elections to fill the U.S. House seat in the 1st Congressional District held by the late Representative Doug LaMalfa. The Special General Election will be held on June 2, 2026, and the Special Runoff Election, if necessary, will be held on August 4, 2026.
Participating candidates must file additional reports in connection with these elections. PACs and party committees that do not file monthly and make previously undisclosed contributionsor expendituresin connection with the special elections must also file additional reports. Additional information is available on the Dates and deadlines page. PACsand party committeesthat file monthly should continue to file according to their regular filing schedule.
