A recently expanded day surgery unit at Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center is increasing our capacity to serve Clackamas County patients while creating a more seamless experience for those receiving care and the caregivers who support them.

Meeting the growing needs of the community

As Clackamas County continues to grow, so does the need for convenient access to high-quality health care. The expanded day surgery unit was designed with patients in mind, helping reduce wait times and making it easier for people to receive the care they need without traveling farther from home.

The project was made possible through the A New Day Campaign, which successfully reached its $4 million fundraising goal through donor support.

Investing in better patient experiences

The expansion adds much-needed surgical capacity while creating new spaces that support caregivers in delivering personalized, compassionate care. It also provides room for future growth, helping ensure that community members can continue to access specialized services locally for years to come.

Every improvement was made with the goal of creating a better experience for patients and families, from increased access to care to a more efficient environment for treatment and recovery.

This expanded day surgery unit reflects what is possible when donors, caregivers and community members come together around a shared vision for healthier communities.
