Illinois Soybean Association hits milestone with It’s Sustainably Soy Program

Bloomington, Ill. - November 17, 2025 - Illinois Soybean Association's (ISA) "It's Sustainably Soy" program has reached and exceeded 100 products certified. The program, which started in 2023, is designed to recognize organizations, companies and executives for switching to sustainable soy-based solutions.

"We're excited to see the fast success of the program and the additional domestic market opportunities it is providing for soybean producers," said Jaidyn Miller, ISA Domestic Markets Specialist.

Organizations using soy-based products for projects can apply, in addition to manufacturers or companies creating soy-based products. Projects may fall under, but are not limited to, construction and renovation; transportation and infrastructure; and facility and grounds.

The It's Sustainably Soy program is just one way ISA is investing check-off dollars to grow and diversify domestic soybean markets.

"As society continues to transition away from carbon-intensive chemicals and compounds, when companies utilize soy-based inputs, it helps make a change that is good for the economy, environment and family farmers in Illinois, said Miller.

To be certified, the percentage of soy used in the company's products must be comparable to the minimum standards outlined in the BioPreferred® Program.

Final criteria for certification approval is at the discretion of the ISA Market Development team.
