Greater Dayton RTA offers free rides on Election Day, Nov. 3

(DAYTON, OHIO) - Greater Dayton RTA will provide free rides systemwide on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, to help residents access polling locations for the general election. Free rides will be available on both RTA's fixed-route and paratransit services.

RTA recognizes the importance of reliable transportation in helping residents exercise their right to vote. In addition to providing daily transportation to work, medical appointments and other destinations, RTA's Election Day program helps remove transportation costs as a barrier to reaching the polls. RTA has offered free rides for elections since 2018.

Riders are encouraged to use the Transit app, RTA's official real-time information and trip-planning application, to find bus stops near their polling locations and plan their trips. The free app is available for Android and Apple devices. Additional information, including real-time transit information for those without smartphones, is available at www.iriderta.org/real-time-tracking .

Montgomery County residents can find their assigned polling locations through the Montgomery County Board of Elections at https://lookup.boe.ohio.gov/vtrapp/montgomery/pollfinder.aspx .
