Welcome Center at Brackenridge Hall Ribbon Cutting, Sept. 4

Aug. 13, 2025 - DENTON - Texas Woman's University proudly marks a milestone in campus development with the official ribbon cutting and open house of its new Welcome Center at Brackenridge Hall on Thursday, Sept. 4 at 9:30 a.m..

University leaders, community members, alumni, faculty, staff and students are invited to celebrate the freshly remodeled facility, which will serve as the primary point of introduction for prospective students, their families and campus visitors.

Located at 402 Administration Drive, the Welcome Center at Brackenridge Hall is designed to create a warm, informative, and inspiring first impression of Texas Woman's. The building houses Enrollment Management and several Student Life offices while providing a central hub for campus tours, admissions counseling and visitor engagement.

"First impressions matter, and the Welcome Center at Brackenridge Hall will be the gateway to our campus," said Javier Flores, Ed.D., vice president for Enrollment Management. "This space reflects the spirit of our university-open, inviting and dedicated to student success. It will allow us to share our story in a way that inspires future generations to join our community."

The existing facility was completely renovated over the past 18 months and has been redesigned with both aesthetics and functionality in mind. It aims to provide an engaging and informative starting point for prospective students while also providing easy access to a variety of Student Life Services for current students.

The ribbon cutting ceremony included remarks from university leadership, guided building tours, and opportunities for guests to explore the new space. In addition, there will be coffee drink specials at The Hoot, merchandise discounts at the Campus Store and a food drive benefitting Student Life's food pantry, Minerva's Market.
