[Link] PASADENA, Calif. - The City of Pasadena Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department invites the community to attend the Villa Parke Youth Soccer League (VPYSL) Inauguration ceremony and celebration on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The ceremony is the official kick-off to the VPYSL soccer season and will be held on the Villa Parke turf field located on the corner of Parke St. and Garfield Ave., adjacent to the Villa Parke Community Center at 363 E. Villa St.
The parade will introduce approximately 70 participating teams of youth athletes ages 2-18 alongside their coaches and City of Pasadena officials. A celebration will be held after the parade, including arts & crafts, photo opportunities, and much more. Additionally, Pasadena City College (PCC) Athletics Department will host a free youth clinic after the parade for youth 8+. The clinic will be led by head coach Francisco Cantero, along with members of the PCC Men's Soccer coaching staff and team players.
Founded in 1989, the Villa Parke Youth Soccer League has grown to be the largest and most popular sports league offered by the City of Pasadena Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department. The league serves more than 1,000 young athletes each season, providing a vibrant and inclusive environment for youth development through sports.
