Milling and Resurfacing on Route 7 and Service Road 719 in Norwalk and Wilton

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 7 in and Service Road 719 in Norwalk and Wilton. This project is scheduled to occur on Sunday, June 7 and be completed on Thursday, July 2, 2026. The project DOT01730557CN consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.93-mile segment of Route 7 in Norwalk / Wilton from Service Road 719 to Route 33 and a .23 mile segment of Service Road 719 (Main Ave) from Rt 7(Grist Mill RD) to 0.23 miles south of Grist Mill Rd. This project is scheduled to begin milling by Burns Construction on Sunday, June 7 to Wednesday, June 17, 2026. The resurfacing segment of this project by Waters Construction is anticipated to begin on Thursday, June 18 to Thursday, July 2, 2026.

This project is included in CTDOT's 2026 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures of Route 7 from Service Road 719 to Route 33 and on Service Road 719 from Route 7 to .23 miles south of Route 7. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday night to Friday morning.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
