The City of Southfield will host the last Eat to the Beat lunchtime food truck and concert series of the season at the Southfield Municipal Campus, 26000 Evergreen Road on Thursday, September 11 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
This edition of Eat to the Beat will feature the following food truck options: Hero's or Villains, Sucree Dessert, FortyFour Burrito, Kona Ice - Sno Cones, Green Lantern, Sonnys Hamburgers, and Yummee Pop Popcorn.
This final edition of Eat to the Beat will also serve as an LTU Blue Devil Block Party to highlight the City's partnership with Lawrence Technological University. Furthermore, the event will help to drive student engagement and act as a lead-in to LTU Day in Southfield on Friday September 19. Some of the LTU focused activities that will be present include a pop-up LTU Bookstore on-site with Blue Devil gear for sale, an LTU Information Table, a Blue Devil Disc Drop game for prizes, and special appearances by members of the LTU football team and marching band.
Hosted through a partnership between the City of Southfield Planning Department and the Southfield City Centre Advisory Board, Eat to the Beat features a rotating selection of Metro Detroit's food trucks, music by DJ Derek, yard games, lounge areas, and other activities with free admission every second Thursday of the month, June through September.
