Board-certified pediatrician, pediatric intensivist and clinical informaticist, Dr. Natalie Pageler, named SVP and CIO of Seattle Children's
SEATTLE, August 17, 2026 - Seattle Children's today announced the appointment of Natalie Pageler, MD, as senior vice president and chief information officer (CIO). Pageler is an accomplished executive with more than 20 years of experience at the intersection of clinical care, academic excellence, and healthcare technology. She will oversee the digital strategy and IT operations for the top-ranked pediatric hospital system.
Pageler joins Seattle Children's following a distinguished career at Stanford Children's Health and Stanford University School of Medicine, where she most recently served as division chief of Clinical Informatics, associate dean of Maternal Child Health, and clinical professor of Pediatrics. She also previously spent a decade as chief medical information officer.
"As a board-certified pediatrician, pediatric intensivist and clinical informaticist, Natalie brings a rare combination of front-line clinical insight, academic excellence and executive technology leadership," said Dr. Christopher A. Longhurst, CEO of Seattle Children's. "She has earned a reputation as a human-centric technologist who views digital tools, electronic health records and artificial intelligence through the lens of a practicing clinician. We are thrilled to welcome her to the organization as Seattle Children's continues to grow and innovate for the patients and families we serve."
Pageler's career is marked by a dedicated focus on health information sharing, digital engagement, and computerized decision-support tools designed to improve patient safety, clinical quality, and the patient family experience. During her time at Stanford, Pageler spearheaded the development of Stanford Children's Digital Health and Translational Data Science Programs and co-founded the country's first ACGME-accredited clinical informatics fellowship. She is a passionate champion for healthcare equity, digital inclusion for non-English speaking families, and adolescent privacy guardrails.
"I'm honored to serve as Chief Information Officer at Seattle Children's and to support an organization with such a meaningful mission," said Pageler. "Technology has an increasingly important role in how we deliver safe, exceptional care, enable our clinicians and researchers, and improve the lives of children and families. I look forward to working alongside the team to build on Seattle Children's remarkable strengths and thoughtfully advance the digital capabilities that will support its mission for years to come."
Pageler holds a Doctor of Medicine from Stanford University School of Medicine, a Master of Education in Medical Education & Clinical Decision Support from the University of Cincinnati, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from the University of Arizona.
