DALLAS - Lorenzo De Zavala Elementary School will unveil a new book vending machine at 9 a.m., Friday, Oct. 31. Thanks to a partnership between Atmos Energy and the Dallas Education Foundation, this exciting addition aims to spark a love of reading by giving students greater access to books and encouraging lifelong learning.
Vocabulary comes to life at Mata Montessori
Eduardo Mata Montessori School is gearing up for a fun and festive Halloween celebration centered around learning. Beginning at 8:30 a.m., Friday, Oct. 31, students will parade through the school halls dressed as creative representations of vocabulary words, bringing language to life. The event blends holiday fun with academics, giving students a chance to celebrate while showcasing their creativity and growing vocabulary.

Today, Dallas ISD celebrated the 25th year of Principal for a Day. This unique event paired nearly 200 civic and business leaders with campuses across the district, giving them an inside look at public education in action. Designed to foster community partnerships, the program allows participants to experience a day in the life of a school principal while connecting with students and staff.

Construction Services/Bond community meeting
L.L. Hotchkiss Elementary School will host a Construction Services/Bond community meeting at 6 p.m., tonight, Oct. 29. Community members are invited to attend and learn more about the exciting future renovations planned for the campus as part of Dallas ISD's 2020 Bond Program. District representatives will provide an overview of the project timeline, share how the improvements will enhance the learning environment, and answer questions.
