The City Clerk's Office will accept applications at City Hall starting at 7:30 a.m. Staff will assign numbers to applicants in order of arrival and accept the first complete application received. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Fees and Processing

Total application cost is a prorated portion of $550 ($475 for "Class B;" $75 for Class "B) plus $50-- $25 for background check and $25 for publication. $50 is due when an applicant submits the license application. Processing takes 2 to 3 weeks. Qualified applicants may obtain a provisional license for an additional $15 while the regular application is processed.

License Details

A "Class B" liquor license authorizes the retail sale of intoxicating liquor by the glass for on-premises consumption at restaurants and bars. The license also permits wine sales in original sealed containers for off-premises consumption. Green Bay operates under a state-mandated quota system that limits the number of "Class B" liquor licenses based on population.
