The Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) is proud to announce a significant milestone in the lead-up to the 13th biennial Africa Aerospace and Defence trade exhibition and airshow. As of 8 June 2026, AAD officially marks 100 days to go until Africa's premier aerospace and defence exhibition, which attracts more than 40,000 visitors per day.
The 100 Days Countdown is a high-level stakeholder engagement bringing together approximately 150 senior guests from government, the defence and aerospace industry, diplomatic missions, strategic partners, and the media. The formal programme will feature a keynote Address by the Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Honourable Angie Motshekga.
Immediately following the countdown celebration, members of the media are invited to attend a media briefing at the Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) building, where AAD and its partners will provide updates on preparations for AAD 2026, key programme highlights, industry participation and expectations for the upcoming exhibition and airshow.
The media briefing will also provide an opportunity to engage with AAD leadership and partners on the impact and significance of AAD as a platform for innovation, collaboration, and growth across the aerospace, aviation, maritime and defence sectors.
