Pain graph: A clearer view of your progress

For many of our members, understanding pain is a crucial part of their healing journey.

Hinge Health's pain graph helps members visualize outcomes while delivering intuitive and meaningful insights into their pain journey. It transforms pain data into a clear, visual representation that helps members spot trends, understand what's working, and stay motivated throughout their program.

What is the pain graph?

The pain graph displays pain scores over the past 90 days for each indication, allowing members to track their pain trends compared to their baseline assessment when they started the program. Members will receive personalized insights and recommendations based on their pain data.

In contrast to our Movement Analysis tool which measures the pain a member experiences during a specific exercise, the pain graph indicates their overall pain levels. This capability makes it easier to see improvements, identify flare-ups, and understand patterns in their pain journey.

Why pain visualization matters

By adding pain alongside other stats like goal completion, streaks, and active days in the Progress tab, we've made it easier to identify what activities are helping and recognize patterns.

When members can visualize their progress, something powerful happens: they make connections between their efforts and their results. This understanding can drive consistency, which ultimately yields better outcomes.

It can also be a collaborative tool between members and their physical therapists to optimize treatment plans and adjust exercises based on what's actually moving the needle. Over time, members build a comprehensive record of their journey, helping them and their care team identify which interventions deliver the most meaningful, lasting relief.
