On November 19, the Titus Center for Franchising at Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA) presented scholarships to deserving students at its largest advisory board meeting to date. The event was marked by a surprise from Geoff and Sherri Seiber of the Seiber Family Endowment, who awarded a record-setting $10,000 scholarship.
An Exponential Surprise
The exponential increase was not only momentous for the Seiber family, but also for the Titus Center, which generally awards scholarships ranging between $2,500 to $3,500. Most surprised by the increase was this year's recipient, Osememe "Meme" Omofomah.
Osememe Omofomah and Geoff Seiber."I am really, truly overwhelmed by how good God is in my life," says Omofomah, who explained that his first name means "God is Good." "I'm obviously so grateful for these opportunities from the Titus Center and to the Seiber family for their commitment to our careers and their generosity. I need to call my family and just scream because I am so stoked!"
Geoff Seiber, CEO of FranFund, presented the award to Omofomah, recognizing his exceptional academic performance and essay submission. Seiber took his generosity a step further with a gift of $250 in cash- "because all students need money in hand for pizza," he said.
"Sherri and I believe deeply in the power of education to change the trajectory of a young person's life," said Seiber. "The students at the Titus Center consistently impress us with their drive, character, and passion for franchising. Investing in them is investing in the future of our industry-and we couldn't be more proud to support Meme and the remarkable work happening at Palm Beach Atlantic University."
Outstanding Awardees
In addition to the Seiber Family award, the Titus Center recognized a group of outstanding students who received scholarships funded by generous partners and supporters of the program.
The awarded scholars demonstrate the necessary qualifications for scholarship applicants as full-time students with a minimum 3.0 GPA pursuing a concentration in franchise and demonstrating a commitment to the core values of the University, including community service.
