The skydiving instructor killed Saturday when he fell from the sky without a parachute is identified as Justin Robert Fuller, 35, of Murfreesboro.
Fuller and a 46-year-old student became stuck on the side of the plane in a tandem rig. Fuller became separated from the rig and fell from the sky. The student's emergency parachute deployed and he became lodged in a tree in the 4500 block of Ashland City Highway. An MNPD helicopter crew spotted him and he was rescued by the Nashville Fire Department. A separate MNPD helicopter crew located Fuller later Saturday in a clearing in the 4800 block of Ashland City Highway.
The Federal Aviation Administration will be leading the investigation.
