Blue Wave: Speaker Rivas to Lead Largest California Democratic Assembly Caucus in Modern History

SACRAMENTO - Speaker of the Assembly Robert Rivas, author of Assembly Constitutional Amendment 8 in 2025 that became Proposition 50 and sparked a blue wave across the country, issues the following statement on Tuesday's Democratic victories:
"The blue wave that started in California with Prop. 50 is sweeping the nation. Democrats flipped Congress and I'm honored to lead what will be the largest Democratic State Assembly caucus in modern history. Governor-elect Xavier Becerra's win and the new blue majority is a mandate that Americans want affordability, health care and responsible government that truly delivers results.
