Colorado Christian University Raises Nearly $6 Million at 2025 President's Weekend
Colorado Christian University (CCU) announced that its fifth President's Weekend, held in Beaver Creek, Colorado, generated $5.9 million in gifts and pledges in support of the University's mission. This marks the most successful President's Weekend in CCU's history, with more than 150 donors, alumni, friends, students, faculty, and staff participating in the three-day gathering.
Funds raised include:
-
$800,000 designated for CCU's growing endowment.
-
$1,900,000 for the planned Science & Engineering Center.
-
$1,300,000 in gifts and pledges for athletics facilities, completing a $2 million challenge match from CCU alumni Scott & Donna Miller and Interstate Batteries.
-
The remaining funds raised will support additional University priorities.
Since its inception, President's Weekend has become one of the University's most significant donor events, first launched in 2021 by CCU President Eric Hogue during his tenure as Vice President of University Advancement. Across five gatherings, the event has raised more than $22 million to advance CCU's Christ-centered mission.
"President's Weekend continues to demonstrate the extraordinary generosity of our cherished donors," said President Eric Hogue. "These gifts are not just numbers on a page - they represent lives transformed through scholarships, new facilities, and the strengthening of our endowment. The momentum we saw this year reflects the deep conviction our friends and partners have in CCU's mission and future. We are profoundly grateful."
The 2025 program featured keynote speaker Dr. Ben Carson, former U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and world-renowned neurosurgeon, along with a special video conversation between President Hogue and former U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos. Guests also participated in worship led by the Brenton Brown Band, daily devotions from Dr. Richard Blackaby, and entertainment by Adam Christing, emcee and comedian.
"What makes President's Weekend so special is seeing our donors, alumni, and friends come together as one community," noted Daniel LaBry, vice president of University Advancement. "It's more than fundraising; it's about shared worship, shared vision, and shared commitment to the future of CCU. The generosity we witnessed in Beaver Creek will impact students for generations to come."
CCU President's Weekend is held every 18 months. The next gathering is scheduled for February 2027.
