Mayor Freddie O'Connell, Metro partners release resource hub for residents losing SNAP benefits due to federal government shutdown

This morning, Mayor Freddie O'Connell joined Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts, and Second Harvest of Middle Tennessee President and CEO Nancy Keil to address resources for Nashvillians facing a loss of nutrition assistance because of the ongoing federal government shutdown.

Featuring resources from Second Harvest and Metro's human service agencies, residents can connect with resources or places to donate via this resource hub at Nashville.gov/food. The hub includes information about Second Harvest's Hunger Can't Wait campaign.

Nearly 60,000 individuals and 30,000 homes rely on SNAP benefits in Davidson County.

You can find a full recording of this morning's press conference with Mayors O'Connell, Pitts, and Second Harvest.
