Manheim Unleashes Unmatched Inspection Power and Client Support with Key Leadership Appointment and Expanded Teams Designed to Set a New Standard in the Industry
Strategic shifts to accelerate Manheim's transformation and elevate the client experience following Alliance Inspection Management (AiM) acquisition.
ATLANTA, GA - September 18, 2025 - Manheim, a Cox Automotive brand and the world's largest wholesale vehicle marketplace, is raising the bar for client service and marketplace innovation with a series of strategic moves designed to deliver a seamless, unified experience for dealers and commercial clients across all channels. Veteran Manheim General Manager and Market Center Leader Chris "CB" Brown has been tapped to lead the newly formed Manheim Mobile Inspections team-now the largest offsite inspection force in the industry. Additionally, Manheim is reimagining and expanding its dealer support with the Remote Dealer Services team, which will support sellers who begin their journeys outside the gate and help maximize the profitability of every VIN across the Manheim Marketplace.
These moves come on the heels of Cox Automotive's full acquisition of Alliance Inspection Management (AiM) and enable Manheim to redefine the dealer and commercial client experience while setting a bold new vision for the industry.
"It's a transformational moment, as these teams will be instrumental in bringing unmatched expertise and commitment directly to our clients, wherever they do business." said Joe Kichler, senior vice president, Digital and Supply Chain at Cox Automotive. "CB's strategic vision and decades of auction experience will not only fuel the highest standards of consistency in inspections and trust in the marketplace nationwide, but also help create a smarter, more connected Manheim. Along with the evolution of our Remote Dealer Services team, we're delivering a seamless, unified experience that empowers every dealer and commercial client to succeed-now and for the next 80 years."
A Unified Force: Mobile Inspections Led by Chris "CB" Brown
Manheim has promoted Chris "CB" Brown to vice president of Mobile Inspections, leading the largest, most skilled inspection team in the industry. This newly unified team brings together the strengths of Manheim's existing offsite inspection force with the more than 300 new outside-the-gate inspectors who joined as a part of the AiM acquisition. Under Brown's leadership, the Mobile Inspections team will deliver world-class inspection services to clients ranging from the largest OEMs to small independent dealerships and every client in between.
Brown's nearly 30-year career at Manheim, including his tenure as general manager of Manheim Riverside and leader of the Southern California Market Center, has been marked by strategic vision, operational excellence and a deep commitment to clients, making him the ideal person to lead this newly formed team.
"Our vision is to be our clients' ally, partner and advocate-and we'll be showing up in even more meaningful ways, ready to help them win like never before," Brown said.
Remote Dealer Services: Clients' Partner for Marketplace Success
Manheim also announced the expansion and evolution of its dealer services with the Remote Dealer Services team, led by Connie Suozzo, vice president of Manheim Digital. This team is dedicated to supporting sellers who begin their wholesale journey from their own lots, ensuring every VIN is strategically positioned for success within the Manheim Marketplace-regardless of where each vehicle ultimately sells.
The Remote Dealer Services team will partner with clients, offering hands-on support and data-fueled recommendations to help them maximize results. The team will ensure a seamless and efficient experience for clients by working closely with Manheim's physical auctions, the Mobile Inspections team and other teams across Manheim.
"Clients will see their level of service get better and better," said Suozzo. "Whether it's a small independent dealer or large franchise, Manheim will be their trusted partner-helping them succeed by leveraging the power of our marketplace-where digital innovation meets physical excellence."
Why It Matters: A New Era of Driving the Industry Forward
These moves aren't just about growth-they're about leadership. Manheim is investing in people, technology and processes to deliver a seamless, unified experience-not just across its physical and digital channels-but from offsite to onsite as well.
As Manheim marks its 80th anniversary, these strategic moves demonstrate our continued leadership with expanded capabilities, unified teams and an unwavering focus on client success. Manheim is shaping the future of wholesale automotive and meeting clients where they are-however, wherever and whenever they want to transact.
