On October 31, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Chairman of the National Commission of the Republic of Tajikistan for UNESCO, Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin, delivered a statement at the 43rd session of the General Conference of UNESCO, held in the city of Samarkand.

In his address, Sirojiddin Muhriddin highlighted the history of the Tajik nation and the significant contribution of its ancestors to the development of world science and culture, noting that this spiritual heritage is an integral part of universal human values.

The head of the delegation also drew attention to key global issues, including climate change and glacier melting, and recalled Tajikistan's active role in this field. It was noted that the convening of the first High-Level International Conference on Glaciers' Preservation, held in Dushanbe in May 2025, marked the beginning of a new phase of global cooperation in this area.

It was further emphasized that the expansion of Tajikistan's cooperation with UNESCO in the fields of science, education, culture, and the environment remains a priority, while the use of artificial intelligence for sustainable development is also considered an important area of joint efforts.
