Statement by President Meloni

Italy has received a rating upgrade from Fitch: confirmation that our government's path is the right one. Accounts in order, responsible budget choices and an economy growing stronger thanks to an increase in employment: these are not slogans, but concrete results.

This is a clear sign of confidence from international markets: political stability, credible economic policies and support for those creating jobs and prosperity are yielding their results.
We are aware of the challenges ahead of us - growth, debt, sustainability - but today we can look forward with pride: our commitment is being recognised, and this gives us further strength to keep doing more, for Italy and its families.
