NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC AND REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ADL 234940

MATANUSKA SUSITNA BOROUGH

Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: MATANUSKA SUSITNA BOROUGH PROJECT NAME: ADL 234940

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION:

Within the Jonesville Public Use Area (JPUA) near Slipper Lake, at Sutton, AK.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION:

No greater than 210 acres within Section 16 of Township 019N, Range 003W, Seward Meridian with Lot C1M. Final acreage to be verified by as-built at completion of construction.

REQUESTED ACTIVITY:

The applicant requests a cooperative resource management agreement (CRMA) in order to facilitate the construction and management of a multiple lane shooting range, with the option of follow-on facilities to expand the site into several functionary buildings such as education services, sale shops, etc.

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: October 30, 2026

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above.
