Oct. 11-13 Nor'Easter Information
Chesapeake is forecast to see heavy rain and wind from a nor'easter this weekend. Please stay off the roads. If you must be out, do not drive through flood waters: Turn Around, Don't Drown. We expect to see the most flooding around high tides which take place at the following times:
- Sunday, October 12 at 2:15 p.m.
- Monday, October 13 at 2:45 a.m.
- Monday, October 13 at 3:15 p.m.
Schedule Changes
Chesapeake Public Libraries and Community Centers will be CLOSED on Sunday, October 12. A decision about Community Center hours for Monday will be made on Monday morning. For information about Chesapeake Public Schools visit CPSchools.com.
Report Damage
Report storm damage first to your insurance company and then to the City by calling the Customer Contact Center on Sunday, October 12 from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. or Monday, October 12 from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at 757-382-CITY (2489). You can also report storm damage online at Damage Self Report.
