About the Event:

Join us in this fun direct service event that helps those in need in our community!

The hours for this volunteer shift are 8:30 am- 11 am possibly ending sooner. Volunteer check-in will take place daily at 8:30 am in the parking lot behind our main building and distribution will begin at 9 am. We will be working outside serving boxes of food in a mobile food distribution.

Volunteer roles include collecting data, loading food boxes into cars, and directing traffic. This entire shift takes place out of doors! We ask volunteers to dress comfortably and for the weather.

Our work is needed now more than ever, and we hope you can join us!

About the Event:

SignupGenius is the primary signup platform for the Suture Tech program. Please sign up there first using the link that was emailed to you. The GivePulse signup is mandatory for student engagement tracking and insurance purposes. This opportunity is limited to current UTHSC medical students. We allow two M1 students per shift during the academic year to shadow us.

Once you sign up, please text the suture tech with your first and last name and what shift you will be working. If you can no longer make a shift, remove yourself from the sign-up sheet and text the suture tech working that night. If your tech trades shifts, the tech will contact you about the change.

You will be removed from future registrations if you do not text the scheduled tech before your shift.

Our Outreach and Prevention Team needs help getting a big shipment of syphilis tests bagged up for our vending machines! At this volunteer opportunity, you'll be helping bag the tests so that they are ready for our Friends For All vending machines that we have in the Memphis area. These vending machines provide free HIV and STI kits as well as free condoms.
