Description: Digital accessibility can feel overwhelming, but it doesn't have to be. This kickoff session introduces the foundational concepts, standards and best practices for creating accessible course content. Participants will receive an overview of key accessibility considerations for course organization, text, images, multimedia, documents and PDFs, along with a practical checklist to begin evaluating course content.
This session serves as the foundation for the accessibility essentials series, in which subsequent workshops will explore each topic in greater depth through demonstrations, hands-on activities and practical applications.
Whether you're just getting started or looking to strengthen your existing practices, this workshop will help you understand what to look for and where to begin.
Facilitator(s): Alison, Jaclyn and Simeco
