OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC) announced the hiring of Jack Damrill as its new Communications Director, bringing more than three decades of experience to the agency.
In this role, Damrill will oversee the Commission's communications strategy, media relations, digital platforms, and public outreach efforts. He will work closely with the three elected Commissioners and agency leadership to help inform Oklahomans about the Commission's work regulating energy, utilities, transportation, and environmental stewardship across the state.
Damrill has more than 30 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, and broadcast media, including leadership roles in higher education, state government, and the private sector.
Most recently, he served as Executive Director of Marketing & Communications at Oklahoma City Community College, where he led branding, marketing, media relations, and digital communications initiatives supporting the college's institutional priorities and student outreach.
He previously served as Director of Marketing & Communications for the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority, where he managed statewide communications initiatives and major public information campaigns. Damrill also served as Associate Vice President of Marketing & Communications at Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City, where he was responsible for the university's brand strategy, media relations, and marketing operations.
Earlier in his career, Damrill spent several years as a television news anchor and reporter, covering major national and regional stories and contributing to outlets including MSNBC and NBC affiliates.
