Projected Water & Sewer Rate Changes

Recent Cost-of-Service (COS) studies for water and sewer services recommend the City of Coachella increase its rates to continue providing reliable water and sewer services and maintain financial stability. As required by California's Proposition 218 ("Prop 218"), the City is notifying all customers who may be impacted by these changes.

The City of Coachella has started a community outreach effort to:

• Educate residents and business owners about projected water and sewer rate changes,
• Help customers understand why rate changes are needed,
• Provide tools to demonstrate how individual customers could be impacted, and
• Offer the public opportunities to ask questions and be involved in the Proposition 218 process.

Estudios recientes sobre el Costo de los Servicios (COS) de agua y alcantarillado recomiendan que la Ciudad de Coachella aumente sus tarifas para continuar brindando servicios confiables de agua y alcantarillado y mantener la estabilidad financiera. Como lo exige la Proposición 218 de California ("Prop 218"), la Ciudad está notificando a todos los clientes que puedan verse afectados por estos cambios.
