From a born-and-bred Wolverine to a Buckeye believer, two passionate fans reveal what drives their fandom and why Cosm has become their go-to gameday destination when they can't be there in person.
The biggest College Football games of the season are at Cosm. Every week, College Football fans in Atlanta, Dallas, Detroit, and Los Angeles are transported beyond the front row to stadiums across the country to experience touchdowns, interceptions, and game-changing plays from inside the action in Shared Reality. To celebrate the ones who know Saturdays live at Cosm, we're highlighting fans across our venues each week, sharing their stories of fandom, why they live for their school's colors, and asking: When you can't be there, why should you be at Cosm for College Football?

JayAre | Michigan Fan at Cosm Los Angeles
The Wolverines weren't going down without a fight. Bounced from AP's Top 25 the week before after a controversial last-second victory against Western Michigan - the first team ranked so high to be ejected from the Top 25 after a win since 2008 - they found themselves knotted 10-10 in the fourth quarter against No. 11 Oklahoma.
With his fellow Michigan fans at Cosm Los Angeles, JayAre watched as Jyaire Hill picked off a pass and returned it deep into Sooners territory. Jordan Marshall punched home a game-winning 1-yard touchdown run to keep the Wolverines undefeated to start the season and send our born-and-bred Wolverines fan home happy on Saturday.
How did you become a Michigan fan?
I grew up on campus. Literally, my parents raised me on campus. My mom went to school there. My dad worked at the local hospital. I grew up a Michigan fan.
What's the best thing about being a Wolverines fan?
It's just great to be a Michigan Wolverine. We're the winningest program. We have some of the best facilities. The Big House is one of the top stadiums in the whole wide world. It's the best thing ever to be a Michigan Wolverine Fan.
What's your best Michigan football memory?
One of my best memories is actually here in LA. At the Rose Bowl, getting to see my Michigan Wolverines beat Alabama to go to the National Championship and eventually go on to win the National Championship. Seeing that in person had to be one of the best feelings ever as a Michigan fan.
In your opinion, who is Michigan's biggest rival and why?
There's like this team, I think some people might know them. They're called "Ohio State" or something like that. They're the Buckeyes. I don't even know what a Buckeye is. But yeah, they're kind of the team we like to see every November.
Why should an Ohio State fan be jealous of a Michigan fan?
I mean, look at the jersey. It's just clean. The maize and blue are some of the best colors. We have the best helmets. We have the best fight song. It's just a lot to be jealous of on down there in Columbus, OH.
What makes the College Football experience at Cosm special?
One of the best experiences. Really just being able to feel like you're almost on the field watching the game. Being here in LA, it makes you kind of homesick watching the boys play. Being able to watch in this immersive experience is one of the greatest feelings. It's great to also see all the Michigan fans here show up. It feels like a home game when you're actually here.
Devon Slappy | Ohio State Fan at Cosm Atlanta
From a Michigan fan to an Ohio State fan. Just another reminder that College Football's biggest rivalries are at Cosm this season, too.
Unfortunately, the weekend wasn't as kind to Devon's Buckeyes. Texas exacted its revenge for last season's defeat in Columbus with an epic 21-point fourth-quarter comeback against No. 1 Ohio State. But as you'll hear from Devon, he's confident his team will be in contention when it matters at the end of the season… and he'll be back at Cosm to experience it all.
Who are you repping at Cosm today?
Ohio State! We may have lost today, but at the end of the day, we've lost before and we won the National Championship in 2025. So, it doesn't matter. I'm going to come back again. I've already bought my tickets for "the team up North." O-H I-O, baby!
What makes the College Football experience at Cosm special?
Because of the views. Do you know what it's like to get five different seat views with one ticket? You can literally see the end zone, the corner of the end zone, the 20-yard line, midfield - it doesn't matter; wherever the ball is, that's where you are. And that's the important thing. That's what we all want to see.
Why did you choose Cosm to watch Ohio State today?
At Cosm, like I said, where the ball is, you are. And that's the most important thing in the world. Don't you want to be where the ball is at the end of the day? If I pay $500 for a 120 section, I can only see that 120 section. If the team does something at the opposite end zone, you're screwed. But at Cosm, everything is where you are. Where the ball is, you are.
