OWTW: Paving Work Continues on Adams and Harrison Friday, Oct. 17

Oct. 16, 2025 (Peoria, IL) Beginning at 6 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 17, paving work will continue on Adams Street and Harrison Street, weather permitting. While paving is occurring, drivers can expect DELAYS OF UP TO 30 MINUTES. Drivers can expect delays while entering and exiting the One Technology Plaza Parking Garage.

THE USE OF ALTERNATIVE ROUTES IS STRONGLY ADVISED.

Lane Restrictions - Friday, Oct. 17

  • The two far right lanes of Adams Street remain closed to ALL TRAFFIC. This closure extends from N. William Kumpf Boulevard to the Interstate 74 overpass.
  • Periodic lane closures will occur on Harrison Street between Adams Street and Washington Street. Lane closures will change throughout the day.

Parking Restrictions - Friday, Oct. 17

  • The south side parking lane on Adams Street from N. William Kumpf Boulevard to the Interstate 74 overpass remains closed.
  • The parking lanes along both sides of Harrison Street remain closed.
  • NO ON-STREET PARKING WILL BE ALLOWED IN THESE AREAS. ON-STREET PARKING RESTRICTIONS WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT WHILE THE METERS ARE BAGGED.
  • VEHICLES PARKED IN A RESTRICTED AREA WILL BE SUBJECT TO TOWING.

Off-street parking is available at the Jefferson and Twin Towers parking decks. Lane closures and parking restrictions WILL CHANGE DAILY.

Traffic patterns will return to their current patterns once the resurfacing work has been completed. One-way traffic on Adams Street will remain in place until next year.

Daily updates will last through Friday, Oct. 17. Drivers should be mindful of workers in the area. Flaggers will be present at times to help guide traffic. An extreme amount of caution should be used in the area.
