Outage required for Avista customers in Elk City

Spokane, Washington, October 7, 2025: Approximately 708 Avista electric customers in the community of Elk City will experience a planned power outage on Friday, October 17. The planned outage will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m. Impacted customers have been notified.

During this time, Avista crews will be performing maintenance on equipment in the area. Local traffic will be impacted on Highway 14 between milepost 29 and 30. Traffic will be down to one lane. Avista is continually updating equipment and infrastructure to increase the safety and reliability of its system.
