The acclaimed True Crime podcast hosted by Clara Tiscar makes the leap to the screen

Netflix has announced the start of production on Criminopatía , with Clara Tiscar, a new documentary series that adapts the universe and perspective of one of Spain's leading voices in the analysis and storytelling of true crime.

The production, already underway, will go beyond the mystery to explore violence, justice, and human behaviour from a deep social and psychological perspective. After establishing Criminopatía as one of the biggest true crime phenomena in Spanish, with nearly 100 million accumulated listens and more than 2 million monthly plays across all platforms, Clara Tiscar leads this ambitious new audiovisual project.

With a carefully crafted visual approach and extensive research, the series will explore different true crimes from an analytical perspective, paying particular attention to the social and psychological context of both victims and perpetrators. " I'm thrilled about this new challenge and the opportunity to bring the Criminopatía universe into the documentary format alongside Netflix. It has been years of researching and sharing stories, and this leap represents an opportunity to delve even deeper into the cases and approach them from a new visual and narrative perspective. Having the resources and ambition of a production like this is allowing us to take Criminopatía further than ever before, and the result is spectacular " explains Clara.

Produced by You First Originals, directed by Joanna Pardos , and created by Joanna Pardos , Luis Calvo , and Javier Martínez , Criminopatía reinforces Netflix's commitment to the true crime genre and adds to its catalogue an established brand backed by a strong and passionate community of followers.

About Criminopatía : With Criminopatía , Clara Tiscar changed the way true crime is told in Spain. Now, the podcast makes the leap to Netflix as a documentary series in which, in each episode, Clara embarks on a physical and emotional journey into some of the most shocking cases in our recent history.

But her investigation does not stop at the facts. Clara returns to the towns, streets, homes, and communities left marked by violence to understand how a crime can transform a place and remain forever in those who inhabit it.

Criminopatía offers an evolution of the true crime genre: a cinematic immersion into the anthropology of crime. A series that seeks to understand not only what happened, but how it could have happened, raising new questions about the dynamics, patterns, and decisions surrounding each story. Driven by her fascination with these questions, Clara delves into an investigation that revisits the cases of some of the most brutal predators in Spain. Figures who do not always operate on the fringes, but instead live hidden in plain sight within our everyday lives.

Through previously unseen and exclusive testimonies, access to key figures, and a deeply immersive approach, Clara reconstructs the events and takes viewers to the heart of each case. With a carefully crafted cinematic aesthetic, Criminopatía explores how horror enters a community, shakes it to its core, and leaves a mark that remains long after the trial is over. Because there are crimes that disappear from the headlines, but never from the places where they happened.
