Statement by MFA of Belarus regarding situation in Iran
13 January 2026The Republic of Belarus is closely monitoring the development of the situation in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
We are convinced that the Government of Iran and the Iranian people are capable of overcoming the existing difficulties and maintaining stability in the country.
Based on the fundamental principles of the UN Charter, Belarus categorically rejects any form of interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states.
Citizens of Belarus who are planning trips to Iran due to urgent necessity should strictly take into account the official notifications from aviation authorities (NOTAM) regarding restrictions on the use of airspace, airline announcements concerning changes to flight schedules to Iran, as well as information regarding potential changes in airport operations.
For Belarusian citizens already in Iran, standard recommendations for complex situations apply: comply with local laws, follow the instructions of official authorities, exercise caution, and avoid mass gatherings.
