Ray Gupta and Family Mood and Anxiety Clinic

Ray Gupta and his family are supporting equitable healthcare for diverse communities. With a goal to support the community he first moved to when he came to Canada in 1976, and to demonstrate that mental well-being is critical for all Canadians-including students coming to study Canada-the Ray Gupta and Family Mood and Anxiety Clinic opened in 2023.
During the Spring Convocation ceremonies at York University on June 16, 2026, Mr. Ray Gupta was formally awarded a Honorary Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) by the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies at York University. An honorary doctorate is the highest accolade a university can bestow, and this award celebrates Mr. Gupta's extraordinary trajectory and visionary leadership, along with his deep ties to supporting educational initiatives. In academic settings, Mr. Gupta will use proudly be addressed as Dr. Ray Gupta to reflect his academic honour and achievement.
