Alaska Vocational Technical Center named as a top vocational school in the nation

SEWARD - For its second consecutive year, the Alaska Vocational Technical Center (AVTEC) has been recognized by USA TODAY and Statista as one of 'America's Top Vocational Schools.' This annual recognition highlights postsecondary institutions providing vocational training based on key performance indicators such as graduation rate, graduate salary, years to pay off net price, diversity, and social mobility. This recognition once again validates AVTEC's commitment to providing cost-effective, hands-on training that prepares Alaskans with the technical skills and professional experience needed to meet workforce demands throughout the state.

"Being recognized as one of America's Top Vocational Schools for the second consecutive year reflects the dedication of our instructors, staff, industry partners, and students," said Dr. Cory Ortiz, AVTEC Director. AVTEC is an accredited postsecondary vocational training center operated by the State of Alaska as a Division of the Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
