The driver of a GMC Acadia has died after crashing into a home Monday morning on Una Antioch Pike near Pebble Creek Drive. The preliminary investigation indicates that at 8:45 a.m. the GMC traveled across the opposite lane of travel and struck two NES poles prior to colliding with the corner of the home.
The 38-year-old driver and his 36-year-old female passenger were both transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The female passenger remains in critical condition.
Efforts are underway to notify the driver's family.
Toxicology testing will be conducted by the Medical Examiner's Office to determine if impairment was a factor in this fatal crash.
