University of Mary Launches America 250 Military Scholarship

BISMARCK, N.D. - The University of Mary is expanding its commitment to military members, veterans, and their families through the new America 250 Military Scholarship, providing eligible students enrolling for Fall 2026 with access to the university's highest graduate scholarship tier for its Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Organizational Leadership (MOL) programs.

The scholarship makes actively serving military members, veterans, and their immediate family members eligible for the university's Tier 1 scholarship, valued at $10,000. University of Mary says the initiative reflects a continued commitment to serving military-connected students while helping remove financial barriers to graduate education.

"Offering scholarships to veterans and military dependents demonstrates a commitment to supporting those who have served our country and the families who have shared in that sacrifice," said Lane Huber, coordinator of Military Services at the University of Mary. "Investing in these students not only honors their service but also strengthens the university community and prepares graduates who will continue serving and leading in their professions and communities."

The scholarship comes at a time when many military-connected students are seeking flexible and affordable pathways to advance their careers. While some veterans have exhausted education benefits earned through military service, military spouses and dependents often have limited access to funding opportunities for graduate education.

According to Huber, the new scholarship helps address those challenges by making advanced degrees more attainable while recognizing the leadership, resilience, and diverse experiences military-connected students bring to the classroom.

The University of Mary has been recognized as a Military Friendly® institution for many years and provides dedicated support to military members, veterans, and their families from admission through graduation. The university offers guidance on military education benefits, flexible learning options, and personalized support designed to help students balance academic, professional, and family responsibilities.

The MBA and MOL programs are available both online and on campus, allowing students to pursue graduate education while continuing to serve, work, or care for family members. Huber said the programs align naturally with the leadership experience many military members already possess.

The university is already working with military education service offices across the region to share information about the scholarship opportunity with military communities.

The America 250 Military Scholarship is available to eligible active serving military members, veterans, and their immediate family members enrolling in the University of Mary's MBA or Master of Organizational Leadership programs for Fall 2026.
