Atlanta-based collaboration connects employees and families to specialized cancer expertise, navigation and support through City of Hope Cancer Solutions
ATLANTA - June 23, 2026 - City of Hope® Cancer Center Atlanta, part of one of the largest and most advanced cancer research and treatment organizations in the United States, and Atlanta-based S.P. Richards Co., today announced a new partnership to expand access to specialized cancer expertise and support for employees and their families through City of Hope Cancer Solutions. The collaboration will help connect employees and eligible family members to trusted guidance, navigation and care resources designed to support cancer prevention, screening, diagnosis and treatment.
Through City of Hope Cancer Solutions, S.P. Richards employees and eligible family members will have access to services that may include cancer risk assessment and genetic counseling, screening support, second opinions, oncology care navigation and connections to specialized cancer expertise when needed. The program is designed to help individuals and families get answers sooner, better understand their options and move more quickly toward appropriate care.
Through the partnership, more than 1,000 employees and eligible family members will have access to these resources, extending specialized cancer support to families across the Atlanta region and beyond.
Cancer affects thousands of Georgia families each year. According to data from the National Cancer Institute and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Georgia's cancer incidence rate exceeds the national average, underscoring the importance of timely screening, early detection and access to specialized guidance. For working families, navigating cancer concerns can be especially challenging when uncertainty, busy schedules and delays in care stand in the way of getting answers.
"Today's employers understand that supporting their people means showing up in the moments that matter most, and a cancer diagnosis is one of those moments. This partnership reflects a powerful example how employers and health care organizations can come together with a shared mission to improve access to specialized cancer care within the communities they serve," said Greg Mascavage, senior vice president, innovation and global development, City of Hope. "By connecting employees and families to trusted expertise, navigation and support earlier, we have a real opportunity to reduce delays, ease uncertainty, and make the cancer journey feel less overwhelming."
Research shows that delays in cancer screening and diagnosis remain common, particularly among working adults balancing demanding schedules, caregiving responsibilities and limited time to seek care. By bringing City of Hope Cancer Center Atlanta's specialized oncology support into the workplace, S.P. Richards is helping employees and families seek answers sooner and move toward care with greater clarity and confidence.
"As a company proudly headquartered in Atlanta for more than 175 years, this partnership with City of Hope Cancer Center Atlanta is incredibly meaningful to all of us at SPR," said Jack Reagan, executive vice president, S.P. Richards. "Cancer has touched so many families within our organization and throughout our community, including my own. Bringing access to world-class cancer care, support, and expertise closer to our associates and their loved ones reflects exactly who we are as a company - people-first, community-focused, and committed to supporting one another during life's most difficult moments. We are honored to partner with an organization like City of Hope that treats not just the disease, but the whole person."
For employees in the Atlanta area and beyond, the partnership creates a more direct connection to City of Hope Cancer Center Atlanta and City of Hope's broader national network of specialized cancer expertise, research, and support.
"Timely access to specialized guidance and care can make a meaningful difference for patients and families facing cancer concerns," said Kristin Higgins, M.D., chief clinical officer for City of Hope Cancer Center Atlanta. "This collaboration allows us to reach more people across our community earlier in their journey so they can take action with confidence and know they don't have to face it alone."
As employers continue looking for ways to strengthen employee well-being and support working families, collaborations like this one demonstrate how health care organizations and businesses can work together to expand access to specialized expertise and care resources within the communities they serve. Additional information about program access will be shared directly with employees in the coming weeks.
