The Clarkson Student Occupational Therapy Association, in partnership with the Town of Potsdam, will host its 4th Annual Polar Plunge on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Postwood Beach to raise funds for the St. Lawrence Health Initiative.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. at Postwood Beach, 2092 River Road, Potsdam. Community members, students and local organizations are invited to take part in the chilly challenge while supporting a regional health cause. Participants are asked to contribute a minimum $10 donation, with additional pledges welcomed. Those interested in participating are encouraged to gather pledges or donations from friends, family and community members ahead of the event.

Participants should be prepared for early spring weather conditions and must bring weather-appropriate clothing, including warm, dry clothes for after the plunge.

To ensure participant safety and organization, all plungers must sign a waiver and check in with the event coordinator prior to entering the water.

Participants are asked to sign up in advance for the event. Questions about the Polar Plunge can be directed to Lauren Engel at [email protected].
