TTB to Participate in National Conference of State Liquor Administrators Regional Conference

We will be participating in the upcoming National Conference of State Liquor Administrators (NCSLA) Central/Western Regional Conference to be held Santa Fe, NM, on October 19-21, 2026. On Tuesday, we will participate on a panel discussing trade practices, including potential concerns relating to retailer promotions such as coupons, third-party marketing, and tastings.

TTB's representatives will be available throughout the conference to answer questions and talk with state regulators and other attendees. If you plan to attend the conference, we look forward to connecting with you there!

TTB Accepts Offers in Compromise

We recently accepted Offers in Compromise from:

  • East End Distillers, LLC for allegedly paying the reduced $2.70 tax rate on distilled spirits without being eligible for that rate. Under the controlled group rules, the reduced rate applies only to a limited volume shared across all members of a controlled group, and as a member of a controlled-group, the proponent allegedly exceeded those limitations.
  • American Marksman, LLC for allegedly failing to follow the proper tax treatment for taxable sales, failing to submit required export documentation within the six-month timeframe, and failing to file excise tax returns and remit excise tax payments as required.
