Mondelēz Global LLC expands recall of CHIPS AHOY! Baked Bites Brookie

Mondelēz Global LLC has expanded their recall of CHIPS AHOY! Baked Bites Brookie due to incorrect mixing process that resulted in the formation of small corn starch clumps in the product, according to a Department of Defense All Food and Drug Activity message sent Feb. 4.

Due to the characteristics and size of the small starch clumps, the clumps could constitute a choking hazard, particularly in special risk groups, such as young children and the elderly.

The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) has publicized this recall to all its stores, according to Richard Stith, supervisory consumer safety officer for DeCA Headquarters and Support Center at Fort Lee, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.

The following is a list of products that are affected by this recall.

• Baked Bites Brookie 8 count 22.4 ounces: UPC: 44000086688 and best when used by: May 9 - 12, 2026.
• Baked Bites Brookie Pouch! 2.8 ounces: UPC: 4400008667 and best when used by: May 9 - 12, 2026.
• Baked Bites Brookie 5 count 12 7 ounces: UPC: 44000085650 and best when used by: May 10, 12 and 18, 2026.
• Baked Bites Brookie Pouch 1.4 ounces: UPC: 4400008566 and best when used by: May 10, 12 and 18, 2026.

There have been no reports of injury or illness reported to Mondelēz Global LLC to date related to this product.
