Gov. Reynolds issues disaster proclamation for Harrison County to activate Federal Highway Administration funding

Today, Governor Kim Reynolds issued a disaster proclamation for Harrison County following severe damage to highways and federal-aid routes from storms that began on September 29, 2026. The proclamation is effective immediately and remains in place for 30 days unless terminated or extended.
The governor's proclamation activates the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Emergency Relief (ER) Program. The ER program authorizes federal funding to cover the extraordinary costs of repairing and reconstructing federal-aid roadways and bridges that have suffered severe damage from natural disasters or sudden structural failures.
